Hey Janet, hope you had a grand xmas and new year. I did, I got to hold a baby which then spat up on me... and my cousin Mikey went over to the dark side whilst my other cousin Tracker came back from it. Happy days.

So, just writing to catch up dear. I noticed you haven't left any comments on my blog, hmmm. No matter, how did you go with your re-enrolement. Did you get into publishing, because that is a good class. You could put your novel together in it you could. How is it anyway?

I've started writing my new novel, you know, the one with the names your thought so highly of... I hope. I've got nearly 5 chapters and a pro-logue written. I like my prologues. They're life savers.

Anyway, hope all is well... and I take it you're the one I'll be bribing to get into this years Avant hey?

It’s the same story told over and over and over. Same horrific details. Same descriptions. Sleeping Beauty

I dash across Flinders Street when the lights change and down into the station, fingers crossed there will be a train; I don’t feel like waiting around in the cold. My first Society of Editors dinner meeting has been enjoyable and I’m grateful for being seated between the friendly Jan and Robyn. But now I am tired. All that emotional energy involved in turning up to an unfamiliar gig on your own. The gods have been kind and I sit by the window in a six-booth. It’s empty. Good. I settle in to read the material for tomorrow’s uni class. However, the girl behind is relaying today’s psychology lecture to her boyfriend. I decide that learning about the effects of loading rats and birds up with testosterone and observing their behaviour is fascinating.
