About

I live in a suburb of marvelous Melbourne in a house that overlooks a park full of gum trees, possums and people walking their dogs. If I feel lonely, I stand on my front porch and wave at the people walking their dogs. Sometimes I just wave at the dogs. I have plenty of company at home, apart from the occasional stray dog or stray owner.
I'm lucky, because at our place there's my two teenagers, Milly - our dog, Fyodor our cat and Fizzy - our marvelous chook. When I'm not out waving on my front porch I keep myself busy by doing a bit of teaching, promoting my book - Dog Gone - writing poems, another children's novel for younger readers, articles and the odd short story. I say that because I haven't yet mastered the art of the short story. I love laughing so much I nearly wet my pants - though that could have something to do with my being a bit slack with pelvic floor exercises.
 I hate cleaning the oven.
Once, I met a seal on a lonely stretch of beach and it changed my life.
